If you’ve experienced a concussion—or are dealing with persistent brain fog, fatigue, or mood changes—you’re not alone. These symptoms are common after mild traumatic brain injuries (mTBI), and for many adults, they can linger for months or even years.

As a licensed therapist and neurofeedback provider, I’ve worked with clients—athletes, first responders, and veterans—who’ve struggled to fully bounce back. That’s why a new study from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is so exciting. The VA study on Neurofeedback for concussion showed promising results in 2025 and the same Neurofeedback style training is offered here in Huntington Beach.

VA Research: Neurofeedback a Game-Changer for Post-Concussion Recovery

In a 2025 study published in Brain Stimulation, VA researchers tested how individualized neurofeedback could relieve post-concussion symptoms.

Participants trained their brains using real-time EEG feedback tailored to their specific needs. The result?

Those receiving personalized neurofeedback training showed significantly more improvement than those on a standard protocol. Overall they felt less foggy, less anxious, and more focused.

What Is Neurofeedback, Exactly?

Neurofeedback is a safe, non-invasive brain training method that uses EEG sensors to monitor brainwaves in real time. When your brain produces healthier patterns, the system provides positive feedback—helping your nervous system learn how to self-regulate.

This form of training is commonly used to support:

• Post-concussion recovery

• Anxiety and stress

• Sleep disturbances

• ADHD or focus challenges

• Trauma and burnout

And unlike medication, it’s designed to promote long-term brain resilience.

Why This Matters for You

Many of my clients come in saying things like:

• “I just don’t feel sharp anymore.”

• “I’m exhausted but can’t sleep.”

• “I used to manage stress fine—now I snap or shut down.”

If that sounds familiar, neurofeedback may offer the reset your brain needs.

My Approach

At my practice, I offer:

Evidence-based neurofeedback protocols

Trauma-informed therapy for integrated healing

• A quiet, private setting for deep nervous system recovery

You don’t need to figure it out alone. Whether you’re an athlete, first responder, veteran, or an overwhelmed professional, we can work together to support your brain’s natural healing capacity.
